I guess you mean the small map lights in front. Use a small screwdriver to gently pry the lens from the housing, be careful, they break easy, even the dealer techs break them. I think the bulb may only be available at a dealer. No, the bulbs are available almost anywhere. It's just a 194 bulb.
Remove two screws located on the inner side tail light assembly w/ trunk open. Pull taillight assembly straight off; you may need to utilize a wedge to gently work the top and bottom of assembly away from vehicle on outer side. Once removed, twist the top light cover counter clockwise and pull to ac…cess lightbulb. It is also best to not do this on a bright day as it is difficult to see whether or not the brake light is functioning properly. (MORE)
The brake light bulbs ar removed from the rear of the light assy . Take it off of the body.
02 Jeep Liberty Tail Light Changing . \nThere are two screws holding the light casing in place. On the passenger side, these screws are forward facing and easy to spot after you open the back door. On the drivers side, the screws are on the inside of the panel and can be accessed once the door …is open with a screw driver. The screws require star bits. Remove the two screws and then pull straight out - hard. The light casing is held in place with a couple of ball and socket joints. The first time you remove the casing, it is very difficult to pull the casing off. If you can get a second person to hit the side of the light casing with the palm of their hand or their fist while you pull on the light casing, that helps a lot. Once you pull off the casing, you will be able to see where the bulbs are located and can change them. (MORE)

Answer . \nopen the tailgate and look in between gap and you will find 2 hex type screws.
Changing taillight assembly Jeep liberty I copied and pasted this from another blog.....it works perfectly!!!! For the drivers side taillight assembly remove the two screws on the side of taillight assembly. You need a special star screw driver (called "Torx", the come in different sizes). Don't st…rip the screws. If you do you will be in a world of hurt trying to remove these screws. You have to swing the tailgate open to see the screws. Once those screws are removed you have to pry the taillight assembly from the vehicle. Pry it straight out using a couple of large screw drivers as pry bars. Be careful not to scratch the paint. There are two plastic shafts that clip into the body. They run along the outside edge of the light assembly. Apply steady pressure with the pry until they come loose. It will take some force to break them free. Do not try to pull the assembly out with your hands from outside the vehicle as you will probably break the assembly. (MORE)
Open the back door, take the 2 screws out and just pull the lense strait back. Thers like little pegs that snap it into place. It'll seem like it will break, but it won't. Just pull it strait back and it'll just pop out!
Answer . What does your onwers manual say about this light? Don't have an owners manual, then get one.\n. \n. \nIt's indicating low tire pressure, so check ALL the tires including the spare. Answer . If I understand this right then the "type 41" is just the type of gauge that is used. It has something to do with the patents of the design. Something about the way the bulbs are installed or somthing like that. Hope this helps you. Good luck.Brad.. answer: I have had several customers …with this question- the "type 41" is painted on the . front of the gauge. when the sunlight hits it just right it appears to be a light. it is not a warning lamp. Answer . The obd2 light will come on if your computer has encountered a problem somewhere. You may want to consider a 60 dollar code reader (should work on most cars after 1996) from your local parts store. It will read what code number has been set, and you can go from there. Or you can get …a shop to check it for you. Sometimes they'll charge, sometimes not. (MORE)
To access the driver's side tail light, open the tailgate. There are two torque head screws that hold the bulb housing in place. These screws can be removed by reaching a regular length torque screw driver through the hinge area. After the screws are removed, simply pry the housing loose. The bulbs …are removed by turning the bulb sockets 90* left and then pull out. I have replaced only the driver's side light housing, so I'm not sure how to access the passenger side light housing. It should be similar. (MORE)
Answer . I own a 202 Liberty. I changed the rear brake light/ tail light myself. To change the passenger side is easy. Open the rear door and locate the two screws that hold the fixture to the body. You should be able to see both of them easily while looking at the fixture from the rear of the ca…r. The tool needed is a T15 torx screwdriver, at least that is what I used. This tool is needed because the head of the screw is a "star" pattern and requires the torx screwdriver bit. If you have no idea what I am talking about just search for "torx" on wikipedia and you'll learn.. Anyway, back to the task. Put the torx head of the screwdriver into the top of the torx screw head on the vehicle and turn counter-clockwise (to the left) and remove the screw. Remove the other screw using the same method. To remove the entire lens fixture, you need to "pop out" two plastic barbs that are inset into two plastic connectors in the car body. This step is completely reversible, if you do it properly. To "pop out" the lens you will need a wood or plastic shim. Don't use a screwdriver you will either crack the lens or chip the paint or both. Take the thin edge of your shim and slide it between the car body and the tail light lens and push it into the now widening gap. Rock the lens fixture back and forth a bit while prying with the shim gently to the rear until the barbs holding the lens "pop out" of their holes. Change the bulb by grasping the round gray plastic part that holds the lamp (for the brake light, its the top one) and turning it about one fifth of the way around to the left (counterclockwise) the gray lamp holder should now easily come out of the fixture. Pull the lamp out of the gray holder and replace with the new lamp. Replace the lamp holder into the lens fixture. Line up the barbs on the lens with the holes in the car body and hit the rear-facing portion of the lens assembly sharply and firmly with the heel of your hand. Replace the screws and tighten snuggly. Don't overtighten, you might crack the lens fixture or strip the threads out of the car body and the lens will not stay in place. Test the new lamp by having a volunteer step on the brake while you observe the light operation. If your lamp does not glow when the brake is pressed, you may have changed the wrong lamp.. To change the passenger side is a slight bit more tricky as you will need to open the back door all the way to the point of being parallel to the left side of the car (or in other words - perpendicular (rt. angle) to the rear of the vehicle). After you have the back door open properly, look through from the inside the hinge area and you will see the top of two screws (the same size as the ones on the passenger side). Place your screwdriver into the head of the screw from the inside of the door and turn the screw counter-clockwise. You may want to make sure you have a magnetic screwdriver so that you don't lose the screw into the hinge or bumper area forever and need to go buy a new screw. If you don't have a magnetic screwdriver, you might be able to reach down inside the opening between the lens fixture and the door to hold the screw with your fingers while loosening it. After you remove both screws, you will need a wood or plastice shim to "pop" out the barbs on the lens fixture that is holding the lens to the car body. After removing the lens, remove the lamp holder (for the brake light (it is the top one) by turning the gray plastic part about one fifth of the way counter-clockwise. The lamp holder should come out esily and from this point you should be able to pull the lamp from the holder. Replace with new lamp and reverse the steps. Test the lamp to make sure the repair was successful. (MORE)
Answer . There are 2 small screws reachable through the rear-gate hinge. These need to be removed then pull entire light housing striaght back.
Answer . First, check your brake fluid. That won't hurt anything. I don't have extensive knowledge on ABS, but I do know that the owners manual in your glove box says that this is an indication of a problem and to go see a dealer.. P.S. If your brake fluid was low then that could be an indicatio…n that your brakes are due to be replaced. That could solve your problem, too. (MORE)
Those lights are on because the computer has detected a fault and set a code. You will need to have the system checked with a scan tool.

2004 Chevy silverado and the brake abs and anIp with a circle aroud it lights came on what does that mean?
You could have air in your break line. First try dissconnecting the battery so it clears out any miss-reads in the computer. Then if the light comes back on then you may need to bleed your brakes.
1. Burned out bulb. Easiest to fix / find. OR 2. Fuse blown. OR 3. Trailer Fuse blown (yes it effects the tail / brake lights) OR 4. Ground wire not grounding. Hardest to fix / find.
You should immediately check your brake fluids, then each wheel for signs of fluid leaks ( they typically make greasy black runs on the inside of the tire.) If you can't find anything wrong, take it to a shop. This may be serious.
Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes or have vehicle scanned to determine problem and have codes cleared
Most likely wheel speed sensor problem - either broken wire or a problem with the sensor/hub. To find out which one, you need to read the ABS codes.
\nFor a steady (not blinking) yellow engine light: That indicates a fault with the engine or one of it's systems. It's usually an emissions related fault. Often caused by a loose gas cap.
Why are both the abs brake lights on when the brakes work the same as they did before the lights came on?
That means that the ABS computer has detected an electrical malfunction, usually a sensor problem. You need to have it checked for codes.
Usually this means that one of the wheel sensors has gone bad. Amechanic can scan the computer and tell which one it is. Your antilock brakes will not work properly if you have to brake hard whilethe light is on.
Normally O/D means "over drive" so if the warnign is on saying "O/D off" it just means that you are not in overdrive, it is best to drive in over drive because it can conserve on gas. Just find the O/D button and press it back on.
"Buy a Toyota!" No, don't buy a friggin toyota. This is an easy fix. Put the car up on ramps. Unclip and unplug the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Wire Harness behind both front wheels. Clean them with something like a cleaner specifically for electrical connections, You can even use wd40 since it is a w…ater displascent and then use something like dielectric grease in the connection. Plug it back together and go have the light reset or drive it a day and let it reset itself. (MORE)
Each wheel has magnetic or optical sending units that tell the computer the speed that each wheel is turning at. When you apply the brakes the computer reads the relationship of speed that each wheel slows down at. If even one wheel is reading a different speed of deceleration than the others, there… is obviously a problem with that wheels brake system. it could be worn pads, worn rotors. stuck caliper, or the speed sensing unit could be defective, any of these conditions will trigger the computer to send a malfunction signal to the dashboard lighting up the ABS light. A simple test can determine the fault done by a code reader. or you can save money by visually inspecting the brake components. Is the light on when you start the engine? or does it come on when you apply the brakes. If always on the computer needs to be reset then see when the light comes back on. If it comes right back on, without applying the brakes, probably a bad speed sensor or worse, a defective computer. Let me know, email@example.com (MORE)
ABS system is inoperable and there is something wrong with the non-ABS part of your brake system.
Because the abs computer has detected a malfunction and set a code. Have the abs checked for codes and you will know what to diagnose.
Can ABS brakes be installed/added to the 2002 Model Year Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD. This vehicle cam without ABS and can this car be modified to be equipwd with ABS brakes and if it can how much it will cost and wher could be done?. Thank you. Your costumer Doroteo Honovich
Service required is the oil change reminder. Service engine soon would be the check engine light.
This is an easy one. Remove the two screws that hold the taillight to the body. They are located just inside the tailgate. The taillight has two tabs the fit into slots opposite the screws, so you'll need to swing the assembly as if you're opening it like a door. The brake light is the top bulb on t…he back of the taillight. This is assuming that you weren't referring to the "3rd eye" brake light, which I haven't done. (MORE)
Usually it means that the alternator quit working. It may also mean the vehicle is using more power than the alternator is producing, either by an electrical short or again, a bad or worn out alternator. The old school test is to start the vehicle and remove the positive battery cable and see if the… engine dies. If it does not, turn on the headlights and see if the engine stays running. If if dies the alternator may need replacement.. The other possibility, and I admit, the first remains as the most possible, is the ignition switch. I have had an issue with this one myself. The ignition switch is slightly more complicated to diagnose. This may be the issue if you have other lights coming on intermittantly. I'd try the alternator first, you may also have it tested at your local auto parts store, like Autozone, to see the actual current output of the unit against the factory specs.. Check all the ground wires for clean and secure connection especially those between the engine and body. (MORE)
It a persons ABS light and brake lights are on they should fix theproblem. This usually means fixing something within the brakesystem.
When the ABS and Brake light come on, it means there is a problemin the ABS and Brake system. If the issue is resolved and the lightstays on, a person can use a scanner and clear this light.
Go to Schucks, ask for the bulb, buy it and ask the guy to show you how to install it. They do that at Schucks. It's not too tough, but it's good to have someone show you.
too warn you that something is wrong with the brakes like you need calipers or pads
An error code in the engine control computer. Try this.....have pen and paper ready then turn the ignition switch on (not start) and off 5x....the error codes should come up in the odometer readout. You may google the error codes or call the local auto parts store to figure out what they mean. If th…e codes do not come up just take it to Autozone or O'reilley's and have them hook it up to the code reader. Its a free service, they'll also tell you what the codes mean at that time. (MORE)
The ABS and Brake lights stay on when the Abs computer has detected a malfunction and set a trouble code. You need to have the system checked for codes
Look for speed sensor wiring at the front wheel bearings. If youhave front speed sensors, you have abs.
The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on,… too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area. What does it mean when tire light brake warning light and ABS lights comes on same time 2003 corolla?
Could be as simple as a soft tire. Check all tire pressures first. Then check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir. If it is lowor empty don't just add fluid. Have a trusted mechanic inspect thebrakes and don't wait. The brakes may be in need of service.
