Where are the fuses for window motors on a 1985 Chevy Vandura van?
They should be in your fuse box. You need to get a check light and check all your fuses and replace any that are blown. Sincerely Willie Answer Window motors are powered by the "Accessory" circuit. Most likely it is protected by a 30Amp circuit breaker, not a fuse. It is located in the fuse panel in the slot marked "ACC". It looks like a fuse but has a metal case.

It is in the door. I suggest you take it to a trim shop to have it replaced.
I had this problem: 1. put new spark plugs (change all) 2. put new spark-wires 3. if this wan't help check the rotor cap for any cuts (if there are cuts inside the rotor cap t…he they will be very very fine) better is to buy a new. 4. You should make a injector cleaning Get a Chilton's Manual. It explains how to do it fairly well. Then all you need is a little patience and mechanical skill. It is also easier to pull out the entire regulator with the assembly, then remove the motor from it. I had to pull the whole regulator out of door. But keep in mind you must remove window first, then put regulator in a vise,so the spring tension wont be released. If you dont have a vise drill a hole in the arm with the teeth in it so you can bolt it to the X frame,so the tension dont get released. You proberly have to drill out rivits on old motor also.
Answer . You need to go to a car \nparts store, and get a\nrepair manual for your car.\nThey cost about $16.00\nOr, go to a Public Library.\n.
Answer . \nIts actually a relay not a fuse and I can't remember if there is one or two circuit centers on that year van. One will be on firewall drivers side, inside of va…n and if it has two it'll be under the hood.
Answer . \nthis can be very tricky and involves drilling a hole to isolate the tension spring. i am a mechanic and had a co-worker tear the palm of his hand off because he… did it wrong. pay someone to do this!. Answer . cheepest and easyest way is to go get a new door from the junk yard and put on there and hook up
Answer . \nI obtain these from a salvage yard because most motors are riveted to the regulator and the GM ones are spendy. Don't replace just the motor because they are riv…eted or you will have a nightmare replacing the regulator. You will need to pop out window and door switches, remove the few screws holding panel to door, pop out the plastic panel connectors along bottom and side to remove the panel. This job is not hard, but you will need to take your time to do it. You may need a torx scew driver on some fasteners. The screws for the panel are located around the door pull. Do this in a warm garage as the plastic pieces will crack easily. Take your time and good luck. Mark
First remove the door panel, 4 screws and a little prying and its off. There are Five rivets that need to be drilled out. Two are easy and you will see which ones are the two.… The Three others are backwards. I had to drill on the soft alluminum and then take a pair of dykes and snip at it until I got the rivets out. It took me about an hour to get all five out. I suggest buying the motor and regulator together, much easier to mess with. If you didn't then you must drill out three more small rivets and then place the old regulator on to the new motor. I taped the regulator to the bracket because I didn't want the angle to change. Then I used the supplied bolts and placed the regulator and bracket to the motor. Once it's on remove the tape. Now, back to the rivets that are a pain. You will notice that the rivets that are backwards are also a mounting stud. I had to use a small drill bit from the back side and drill it out so that I had a clean hole. You have to do this on all 4 studs. Then find some small bolts, nuts and washers and bolt it back up. Make sure you put the regulator back on it's track for the window. You should be up and running. I have pics but it's pretty easy.
It can be complicated, but if you have any knowledge of vehicles it will be easy. First you must take all the screw out that hold on the door panel, about ten around the outsi…de. Two will be in the armrest. The door handle is next to be removed, this can be done with a specialty tool or the common flathead screwdriver. You choose. When the panel is off disconnect wires going to power locks and power window switches. then take the 4 screws that hold the inner panel off. Now comes the tricky part, the bolts that hold the power window motor into place are buried under the inner skin sheet metal, but you can see them. Take you handy dandy tin snips and cut the sheet metal away. Take the three bolts out and wahla motor is out.

if anything isn't working like guages, dash lights etc... its probably the body control module
You can find the 1985 Chevy G 20 Van fuse box diagram in the backof the owners manual. You can also find the fuse box diagram inChevy service manuals at your local library.
you have to remove the dash, wiper arms, wiper arm grill, remove the heating duck work. and you should see it. bolted in the middle of the firewall. remove the four bolts then… unplug it. Now do it backwards to reinstall a new one. Time to replace one is about 3 hours and a lot of yelling at the van.

REMOVE POSITIVE SIDE OF BATTERY CABLES BEFORE BEGINING>>>JUST IN CASE!Hing the ash tray lid open...take the 2 Phillips head screws out...on bottom of cover remove the 2 philli…p head screws...pull cover back 4 inches to remove the lighter socket plug and power mirror plug (if so equipped). Now you can safely remove the plastic portion of the cover. Now on to the metal cover. On each side of the cloth heat cover remove the 2-3 snap covers then remove the phillip head screws. On the very bottom of the metal cover feel the carpet for raised areas...under the carpet are 2 bolts on a hinge (use 1/2 socket on 10 inch extension with 3/8 ratchet) no back to the sides of the metal cover...there ia a clasp hinge on each side...lift the rear of the clasp (furthest side away from dash) and slide back.

there are actually 3 fuses ( that i have found) 2 are in the fuse panel below and to the left of the steering column marked ac and auxilary ac/heat. my 1993 g3500 vandura also… has an inline 20 amp fuse wired in between the fuse panel and the rear blower motor switch.

on my 1989 vandura, the interior lights are on two different switches - the horn/DM fuse will turn on the front dome light and the rear light if that's what your looking for..…...

This is probably one of the most tedious and painstaking things I have done on my 2500. First of all remove ALL the door panels, you should see an oval in the door right where… a window crank handle would go, the motor is bolted to the back of this by either one nut and two bolts or one bolt and two nuts which you can barely see, you have to remove these (the painstaking part) and push the motor away from the mechansim, keep in mind that you have to secure the window before removing the motor or it will drop once the motor is removed and could cause damage to both the window and your arm!
