Answer . \nThe 3.4L V6 takes 5.5 quarts of oil.
My Tacoma V6 is a 2001 so assuming it didn't change from 2000 to 2001, the oil filter is on the drivers side of the engine, about 1/3 of the way from the front of the truck. N…ow the filter sits at about a 45 degree angle from vertical, that is the part of the filter that has screws on to the engine faces downwards, toward the ground. Of course this means when you start unscrewing the filter, oil runs down the side of the engine, onto the skid plate (my Tacoma is the 4-door Prerunner, if you have a 2 wheel drive standard cab or extended cab you may not have that0 you, the ground, etc.. The only way to really grip the filter is from underneath, if you are strong enough you can use your hands, if not the best wrench is the cup type that fits on the bottom of the filter.. I contacted Fram to see if they have an oil filter relocation kit for these vehicles, but they don't. I called the dealer to see what they did about the oil running down the side of the engine, they said they just let it run and clean up the mess. I have a way to help that. Get a 2 liter plastic soft drink bottle, cut out about the top 4 inches off (leave the cap on!), then cut out a half cirlce on one side of that. Slide the cut out underneath the point where the filter meets the engine block. Unscrew the filter slowly and most of the oil will run into the bottle top, you can also drop the filter itself into the top after it comes off, just be sure to have a firm grip on the bottle top as the filter does have some weight to it. Hold the bottle top level and take it out from underneath.. My Tacoma sits up 9 inches above the ground, so I don't need to jack it up to get underneath, the others may need to be raised up. Be sure to use proper jackstands and to chock the rear wheels!!!!!!!!!. Hope this helps.
Answer . Regular 10w30 does best. I live in Texas -hot climate. I believe if you live in a Colder Climate you might want to be using 10w40.
( 5 W 30 ) - according to the 2000 Ford Mustang owners manual
5.5 quarts with oil/filter change.
5W-30 or 10W-30 are both acceptable for the I4 (2.4L) and the V6 (3.1L) models. It should say "5W-30" right on the oil fill cap on top of the engine block.
6.0 quarts but check your owners manuel if you don't trust people on the internet
Any premium brand oil of the weight recommended in your owner's manual or stamped on the oil fill cap.
Exactly what is written on the top of the oil fill cap and in the owner's manual, which is 5w30.
5.5 Quarts with filter change.
More than likely 6 quarts but to make sure. Park on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Pour in 5 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and let …run for 2 minutes. Shut down the engine and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and add as necessary to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity.
2000 Nissan Frontier owner's manual, page 10-2 says, for drain/refill: KA24DE, 4x2: w/ filter: 3 3/4 qt; w/o filter: 3 1/2 qt KA24DE, 4x4: w/ filter: 4 1/8 qt; w/o filter: 3 …7/8 qt VG33E, w/ filter: 3 1/2 qt; w/o filter: 3 1/8 qt Above units are all US measure.
SAE 5w30 any major brand.
