How do you install a thermostat in 5.0 liter fuel injected 1987 Pontiac trans am?
Follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine. There will be a outlet mount there that the hose connects too. There are two bolts on each side you must remove, it may also have a bracket mounted to it as well that will need to be removed. lift the outlet off the engine and you will see the thermostat. lift the thermostat out clean the mating surfaces, install new thermostat ( make sure it is in the grove flat )and gasket, remount outlet housing. Put the rest back together.

What needs to be changed when installing a 1990 fuel injected Chevy 350 engine into a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne that has a fuel injected V6?
Answer . The bellhousing, the starter, the exhaust manifords, maybe the flexplate (flywheel) and the computer, and probably the motor mounts. I'm not sure if the V6 crossm…ember that the motor mounts bolt to will have to be changed or not. I guess it might..

150 with the LG4 motor and 190 with the L69 motor. Both are 5.0 liter V8 305 ci. engines.
Answer . In a 2.5L the handle end faces up.
yes look for fletch's carbd 5.0 page i think its www.jason_fletcher.net? honestly it is really easy to do and is done more commonly for dedicated race cars.
what about it? are you looking for the where abouts?
This is assuming you have a TPI engine, and an above average tool set, and good mechanical ability. First you need to disconnect the intake duct from the throttle body, then t…ake the four 10mm bolts out of the throttle body. Next take the bolts out of each side of the intake plenum, unplug the MAT sensor from underneith the plenum, and the vacuum lines. Then remove the plenum, then take the 4 10mm bolts out of the fuel rail. You now have to unlock the factory clips at the top of the injectors, do this by rotating them clockwise until the hook is positioned to the left of the injector. Bleed off the fuel pressure by using the shrader valve on the fuel rail. Carefully using a prybar, lift the fuel rail one corner at a time, using WD-40 to lube the injector o-rings at the intake. Once the rail is lifted to obtain clearance to remove injectors, pry injectors out of the fuel rail, one at a time, don't try to take them all out before replacing. One at a time lube both o-rings on the new injector, and install into rail, repeat this until all are done. Then reinstall the rail and injector onto the intake manifold. This is not an easy task, requires a little patience and finess. Good Luck
In Dodge Dakota
IT would be possible, but it would be easier to buy a 1988 or newer Dakota and have it already equipped that way.
Nothing. Put more gas in and crank the engine. The pump will take over.
In Fuel Filters
You are going to have to remove the fuel tank by disconnecting the hoses and wiring harness.Only then can you access the pump which goes in the top of the tank.
Yes there the same.
