How big is the fuel tank on a 1998 Chevy Suburban you were told it was a 40 gal tank but you put in 42 gal last fill up?
It must be a 42 gallon then, that was the manufactured spec for the large tank.

After 2000, if it is a short bed, then 27. A long bed will have 34.
slide in under the drivers side of the truck just behind the drivers set and look up inside of the frame rail and you will see it.
A 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 2 dr fuel tank holds 19 US gallons.
First using compressed air, I would blow the dirt away from the area where the filler tube meets the fuel tank because you don't want ANY dirt getting into the tank. Then I wo…uld remove the filler tube by loosening the clamps and wiggling the hose off and out. From there you can side a long siphon hose down into the tank and siphon out the fuel into a suitable container.
The fuel pump relay would be located in the power distribution box under the hood.
