Answer It is on top of the PCV valve on the front of the engine by the alternator. (normally aspirated, non supercharged models only). The location depends on whether you hav…e a normally aspirated 3800 V-6 (as in the SSE model) or the supercharged 3800 V-6. On the supercharged model (SSEi) there are 2 map sensors mounted on a bracket above the rear valve cover, connected to the vacuum hosing. Each sensor is held on the bracket with 2 screws. One sensor runs the supercharger boost gauge, the other is used for engine management. The electrical connectors are identical, and it doesn't matter which sensor they are attached to, other than the fact you don't want to attach them in such a way as to tension the wires and cause damage to the wiring harness or connectors. There is a lot of emissions wiring and hoses that can interfere with getting to the sensors, along with spark wires, etc, so they are not easy to see in poor lighting. They connect to the vacuum hoses underneath, so carefully remove them, as on a car this old, the rubber connector and stiff vacuum piping can be brittle from engine compartment heat, and tear or break very easily. Any vacuum leaks can cause high engine idle speeds along with other driveability problems.
Hi! First you need to get a harmonic balancer puller. This pulley is located on the bottom of engine. Remove the tire and plastic so you can see it. Get a socket that fits t…he bolt I would recommend using a impact gun to get the bolt out. After its out pull the pulley and the sensor is located behind it . Two bolts hold the bugger on , but it's set on a dowel so you may have to fiddle with it to get it off. Hope this helps! Jim
there is a vacuum diagram under the hood of the car located near the hood latch. if it has been removed or faded one can be obtained from the repair manual chilton #28200. the… book is a valuable source of information and a great investment.
Answer . \nWhat model is your vehicle? I have a repair manual for mine, it's a 1990 Lumina Euro, but the boks covers other models. I can check it and see where it is loc…ated, but it may not be the same as yours. Only if the engine is the same I'm guessing. I'll check my book tomorrow (05/19/06) and let you know what I find.
it should be on the right side right neer the belt
my son just replaced one on my car i also have a 1992 Bonneville it is located on the passenger side frount behind the tire you will need to remove your tire
Answer . Oxygen sensors are typically on the exhaust manifold, near the headpipe. They screw in and there is usually at least one way to reach them that doesn't involve pu…lling the engine. V6 engines typically have an O2 sensor for each side, and some vehicles have both front and rear oxygen sensors, which can total as many as 4 sensors. But typically the rear sensors don't fail as often as the fronts.\n. \nI don't know of any CO2 sensors in vehciles, just O2, so if you're looking for other information you'll need to get an answer from someone else.

Answer . The MAF sensor is always located in the air duct between the air filter and the throttle body. I'm a retired ASE Master/L-1 Technician. I still keep current …with the latest automotive technology. Visit my blog for cool articles and TSB's: http://free-auto-repair-advice.blogspot.com
The Map Sensor on that model is located on the passengers side of the motor. It is on top of the plastic intake plenum and has a plug in connector. It is labeled "Sensor Press…ure and has a part number of 09359409". BE CAREFUL REMOVING IT. It has a rubber gasket so wiggle it out. I have broken a few trying to remove them. It is held in place with a plastic clip connector.
1996 Pontiac Bonneville sse and it keeps stalling out in me . Cannot go far and it stops please help i heard it was a crank sensor not sure?
Excessive stalling is often a problem with your idle air control valve (IAC). Before buying a new one, try removing and carefully cleaning yours with carbureator cleaner. Do n…ot change the setting by turning the screw in valve, just clean it. It would also be benificial to see if the computer is storing any trouble codes, most auto part stores will do this for free now.
Where is the crank shaft located on a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville? I have bought the part. Just can't find where it goes.
The Crankshaft Position sensor is mounted on the bottom right side of the crankshaft pulley, mounted on the timing chain cover. Only 2 bolts hold it in place and has a 4 wire …connector plugged into the sensor. Hope this helps
behind the motor about dead center usually a white cylindrical plug almost. it will be right behind the plastic cover
I am serious on this answer, go to Autozone.com, sign up to become a member for the vehicle repair guides and when you enter the part you are searching, over to the right of t…he screen there will be a place to click on that says "vehicle repair guides", "locate the part on my vehicle" It will tell you exactly where the part is at on your make and model, and it will also tell you how to test the part, removal and replacement and also visual diagrams to help you along! I know this because i use it all the time for my car! Me being a self-reliant female makes it much easier to find and fix the problem myself! If i can, You can!!!!
