Are the front seats for the Sebring coupe and sebring convertible interchangeable?
You could use the non-convertable seats in a convertable Sebring, but there would be a huge safety issue as you would not have seatbelts. The seatbelts are built in to the Sebring convertable seats. The bolt down assemblies for both however are identicle.

hi, I believe the PVC valve is on the rt side of the engine, it plugs into one of the valve covers. I believe the fuel filter is above the tank on that one, just be careful not to break off the plastic tips on the fuel pump when changing filters. If I'm correct, you'll need to lower the tank some to… get to the filter. (MORE)
Remove the calipers on the front ones and they should slide right out. On the back after you remove the caliper , you need a screw that fits the 2 holes by the lug nuts and screw it in until the rotor pops then just slide it out. keep your parking brake off. In a 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible the seat belts are stuck and will not pull out how can this be fixed?
Frozen seat belts problem . I have the same problem in a 2000 Sebring. You can't pull the seat belts out of the seat's retractor. According to the owner's manual the seat belt mechanism needs power on to allow the seat belts to extend. When you open the door or put the key to accessory position p…ower is allowed. The fuse for the seat belts is listed with the flashers and the flashers work ok. I will post more after I fix it.. There is a wire connector under the seat that controls the seat belt mechanism. You have to make sure it is connected otherwise the seat belt will remain in the stuck position. I had the same problem, seat belt was stuck and I couldn't use it. I discovered the wire wasn't connected under the seat. Once I reconnected it and turned on the car I was able to pull the seat belt out. (MORE)
Answer . \nHad the same prob. w/ my 04 touring The owners man. gives directions that didn't work for me. I played with it trying many things and got it to turn off. I think what I did was... Doors closed- parking brake on- turn key to run positon (engine not started)- wait for seatbelt light to …go out- then fasten seatbelt three times, allowing the belt to retract (to the position where it is not being used) in between each time it is fastened- finish with the belt fastened if it works you will hear a single chime to confirm. I did this in a time of 10 to 20 seconds. I hope I remembered properly I struggled so long with this issue I'm afraid to play with it now that I got it turned off. (MORE)
I'm trying to find out the answer myself. I think I read somewhere in the net that it's in the back of the engine, I think attached to it. it's metallic and it has two little hoses or tubes coming out it (electrical perhaps).
Answer . \nThe shift solenoids are located in the solenoid pack on the FRONT of the transmission. looking down at the transmission with the hood open, it will be close to the RADIATOR. you have to replace the whole pack.
the flasher unit is under the dashboard...kust to the right of the brake pedal...its a little black plug in box. you'll have to remove the panel under the dash to reach it...but once done...it unplugs easily

Adjustment is on the idler pulley with the tensioner bolt sitting right below the alternator. I also had to loosen the center bolt on the idler pulley before it would move.
Unlatch both sides by pulling handles up by the visors, then push button on console, do not do while moving, to put up push button on console other direction, make sure latches are open bring top all the way up, pull down on top with handle in the middle above rear view mirror, latch latches.
Should be the "peel off" type. Remove wheel. Remove caliper mounting bolts. Slide caliper off rotor. Rotor should slide off hub assembly
this is what the junk yard guy told me so take it with a grain of salt, I have no first hand knowledge. he said an 01 sebring sedan or convertible and 01 stratus.
I have a 2001 sebring and they tend to place the battery in the front driver fender area. You have to remove the front driver tire, then remove (pry or unscrew) the bolts that hold the fender shield in place. It's most likely there in the fender/ bumper area. chilton's guides are pretty good referen…ce too. . \nThe battery is located in the driver side lower fender well behind the wheel well splash guard. well you didnt really give too much information about what kind of motor your car has so let's say it's a 2.7L lx model?. the thermostat is located about a foot down on the front of the motor, but still behind the radiator. it's pretty easily accessible. be careful if you're trying to replace it yo…urself tho, because sebrings has pretty complicated cooling systems. if you testdrive and the problem isn't fixed, the pressure's liable to burst a small hole in the radiator, and then you're looking at $900 parts and labor, just for them to try to replace the water pump, which means the timing belt kit as well. it most likely is the head gasket... sorry for the bad news. The 1997 Chrysler Sebring transmission is equipped with twotransmission mounts. There will be a transmission mount at the backof the transmission, on each side.
There are 3 seatbelts in the back seat of a Chrysler SebringConvertible. The middle seat belt is just a lap belt though.
There is not a front licensing mounting bracket, on a ChryslerSebring. The Chrysler Sebring has a rear license plate mountingbracket.
I have an 01 Sebring Convertible, and the only way I fixed my window was the following. I went to Car-Part.com found the part, called around for the window with the attached fabric. Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/caliper andremove the old brake pads. Put in new brake pads, replace the brakeshoe/caliper, replace the tire and lower the car.
Chrysler does not use inertia or reset switches. The fuel system iscomputer controlled with relays.
Pretty straightforward, actually. # STOP THE CAR, make sure you have clearance (not in a garage, for instance).# Lower both visors.# Unlatch both top latches that were hidden under the visors, the top may spring open a bit, which is fine.# Use the control button (located at the front of the armres…t center console, under your wrist if you lay your arm down in a driving position) to open the top. The windows may roll down slightly before the top begins to retract. Let the top retract fully. (you may also at this point put the retract-cover on if need be - check your trunk for it) # Enjoy.# To put it back up, do the reverse - button to get the top up, latch both top latches, roll up windows, move both visors up.make sure your parking brake is always on going up or down also. Depending on what year... and body style. on a 1997 Coupe (LXi in particular) it's next to the brake fluid reservoir. There are 3 relays on the firewall in that location. There are four hex head nuts that are under a plastic cap at each corner of the seat. Slide the plastic cap off and take off nut and pull seat upwards. Pretty easy removal for this seat.

Using a paint marker, mark the location of the rotor with respect to the distributor housing. Remove the 2 distributor hold down bolts. Pull… distributor from engine. Install new distributor in reverse order, being sure to insert the new distributor with the rotor in the same orientation as the one that you took out. (MORE)
It seems that you just need to PULL UP VERY HARD! I'm in the process of doing my seats, now. I tried the "push back & lift up" method, to no avail. I didn't break the plastic tabs, either. Try doing this with the top down; it makes it easier. There are two metal "loops" on each side that would be… positioned about the middle of each seating position where the seat meets the carpet. I'd recommend prying up on each side of these with two very large screwdrivers, as there is no support in the middle of the loop and you will definitely tear your seats up this way. Once you get it unlocked you should then put something over the slot to prevent them from reingaging the plastic lock tabs. Try not to pull from the middle of the seat as you will bend the metal reinforcement that keeps the seat snug to the body of the car. You can also do as the previous poster said.. putting the top down and pulling with all your might. I can confirm that the push back & lift up method will not work in this situation. (MORE)
My seat heater stopped working. Is there a fuse for this? I can not find anything in my owners manual about the seat heater.
The thermostat for a 2004 Sebring Convertable is in under the water outlet for the BOTTOM radiator hose. This is behind the alternator which will have to be removed, after you remove the belts. Plan on an afternoon of work. Hope this helps.
Behind the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing is located at the rear end of the top radiator hose. Follow the top radiator hose. It leads to the thermostat housing. There are either two or three bolts holding it in place. The bottom one can be tricky to remove. A quarter inch universal joint… with a socket might work well. Unlike many cars which have a thermostat positioned horizontally, the 1999 Sebring 2.5 V-6 has the thermostat positioned vertically. It can be very tricky to get it into proper position while replacing it and putting the housing over it. It is sometimes easier to put the thermostat into the housing, and then placing the housing in position, and then placing the three screws in as far as possible using your fingers. Also, using a small amount of thick grease to hold it in position in the housing can help. I believe there might be a tab on the thermostat that must be placed into an indent in the housing, but not sure. I have this car, and have replaced the thermostat myself. The bolts are probably 10mm. The quarter inch or three eighth inch universal joint with an extension and a standard depth socket is almost required for the bottom bolt. -Douglas (MORE)

remove the plugs from the drainage holes located in front of the rear tire wells
First, remove the headrest. There is a pin-hole that you depress and it will lift out. Then remove the covers to these and be careful to not pop out the springs. After removing the four bolts under the seat and disconnecting the power clip, the entire seat will pull out. Disconnect the battery to… avoid air bag deployment. There are two torx bolts (about t-50) on the sides of the seat. Remove those. Then remove two more torx bolts that hold the power seating recliner. This will give you two separate parts to the seats. The seat back, at the bottom has a latch type catch that the upholstery, sorta like a zip lock bag. separate these two items and there will be 4 hog pins holding the seat to the frame. Open these with pliers and the foam and covers will flip off, inside out like taking off a shirt. (MORE)

All Sebring convertibles are front wheel drive. They have been produced since model year 1996 and are now in the third generation.
In the early 1996-1998~ Sebring Convertibles with the speakers above the passenger armrest the grills are simply removed with a thin screwdriver or butter knife. the Phillips head screws are revealed once the grille is removed. The wire from the head unit clips directly into the speaker, you either …pry up or push on the tab that is holding it and pull back. You may want to either clip the connector off if you are not using OEM style speakers, or you may want to purchase an adapter for your new speakers. Replacement is the reverse of removal. You may need to make the clips on the grille back into a point. One has a small hook that holds the opposite tab to make a point. If you cant get the grille back on the tabs have probably come apart and this simple procedure should allow you to reinstall the speaker grille. (MORE)
