08 dodge ram 2500 flashers blink to fast after installing led blinkers even with a trailer hooked up?
In Dodge Ram
You need a different Flasher Relay. I cannot tell you which one, as you have gone to a non-stock configuration. You need a relay with more resistance. The 2008 Ram doesn't have a flasher relay. The lights are controlled by the TIPM ( the computer on the underhood fuse box ). You will need to add a resistor to the led lights to bring the total resistance up to the same amount that the normal bulbs have if you want it to flash at the normal rate.

Answer . Just replaced mine when I bought it. If you look up underneath the driver side dash, with your head near the pedals, it will be close to the radio. It's at the end of a wire which is not attached, simply hung over the a/c-heater hose. If you haven't checked, it's only a few dollars f…or the part, and you can do it yourself in two minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend disconnecting the battery first, however. (MORE)
As far as I've been told, the idle is set by the pump? So if it's low the pump might need rebuilding soon.
Answer . \nFor the 92 model the flasher is located under the glove box tray(you have to pop it out)and to the right in the corner of the dashboard. there are 2 flashers that look alike(one for the turn signals and one for the hazards), test each one to see if it works.
What needs to be replaced on a '89 Dodge Ram Van 250 B series 318 engine where the turn signals blink but the emergency flasher does not blink?
I believe that there should be an emergency flasher fuse unit thatwould be replaced if the flashers are not flashing. I know in myother vehicles that is what I have had to do when the emergencyflasher would not flash. Saw you needed some help on your dodge; you stated that it willturn on but want f…lash what about the other side does it do thesame? Here is what i would suggest if the other side is ok. I wouldtake that bulb out and put it in the side that isn't working(because you know that bulb works). This will verify if it is justyour bulb, put that bulb in and if it works well you know it wasjust the bulb. If it still doesn't work it could be the switch orfuse. Fuses are easily to see they will be dark in the middle if nogood. (MORE)
Take a breaker bar and a socket make sure it's the right size socket for the bolt on the tensioner, insert the socket on the bolt and take the tension off the belt and remove make sure you remember the routing so you can replace as you put it back on pull on the tensioner so you can slip the belt ba…ck on then when you have it in let the tensioner go and take the socket out and you should have just changed you belt. Why would the blinker be acting up when you put it on to turn the blinker wont flash on the outside or inside of the car and the flasher blinks double time outside lights work Could it be the flasher?
Answer . \nFirst of all let me say that most vehichles have 2 flashers, 1 for the hazzard lights and 1 for the blinkers. If you turn the blinker switch to either side and lights inside and out do not flash or light up then the most common problems are a blown fuse or the blinker switch itself cou…ld be bad. As for the hazzards blinking double time, it is possible the flasher could be going bad. One other possibility, autos that have had trailor light hookups installed have been found with bad grounds and/or wires that have rubbed into causing tail, blinker and stop lights not to work correctly (MORE)
Vacuum Hose Routing for 92 Dodge Van Simple. Open the hood and look on the underside of it. There is a sticker there, usually on the left side, that shows the routing of the vacuum hoses. If you are going to replace your hoses, do the following. Take only one hose off at a time. Replace it. Take an…other, replace it. And so on. Keep in mind that there are several sizes of hoses and the replacement must be the same size. If there is a sticker? And , if someone had it before you done away or plugged them up! Go to advance discount auto part's and get you a hanes book on your van. It will tell you every thing, except how to fix a transmission. you will have to play around and see what vacuum line sucks air, and which one blows air. it's a pain when everything works on vacuum. I am doing it my 87 dodge ram 250 custom van , and it don't have a sticker on the hood!! (MORE)
Answer . SEATING AREA, DRIVER SIDE, AT THE LEFT SIDE OF INSTRUMENT PANEL ON FUSE BLOCK
Answer . \nCheck all of your turn signal bulbs. One of them may be burned out.
Check all of your blinker lights. There are two in each tail light, one in each center signal, and one at the corner of each headlight, a total of 8 lights should blink when you have the flashers on. If a bulb is burnt out, it will increase the blink rate. Also, installing LED's in the tail lights w…ill cause the blink rate to increase. (MORE)
What would cause blinkers on a 1996 dodge ram to stop working even though the fuses and the hazards work and replaced the flasher fuse to?
Answer . I have a 1996 D R and have the same problem. Apparently the flasher switch needs to be replaced.
Yes it will, but you will want to change everything. Not just the motor. The transmission, radiator, & the entire fuel line/ pump system.
With some vehicles, you can purchase a WYE harness, which you install in the rear harness of the vehicle. You separate the provided plug and install the Y between the two plugs and the end of the Y becomes the trailer harness. Other vehicles you have to splice the wires. Normally brown wire is th…e running lights, Yellow is the left turn, and Green is the right turn. White is the ground between the trailer and the vehicle, for a total of 4 wires. (MORE)
Answer . If the right blinker is blinking really fast, it means that there is a turn signal bulb on the right side that is burned out. (coulod be either front or rear)
The wiring is already run for you. It's a simple matter of wiring up the brake controller and installing it in the cabin.. Go where ever you comfortably shop (I got mine and Wal-Mart)and get the best controller you can afford. They all work the same but the higher priced unit are more user friendly….. Go home and TOPS! Start to finish. (MORE)
There is a short in the system somehwere. If they blink normally without the trailor, check the trailor lights, sockets or wiring. If they blick fast all of the time, one of your bulbs is burnt out - change it and they will blink at normal speed.. Everything is fine without the trailer, the trailer… is new(does not mean much) but just found that my hazard system works fine with the trailer, which leads me to directional flasher could be bad. Will check and post.... There are two flasher cans, I had changed out the emergency flasher thinking it was the directional, changed out defective directional flasher and all is well. Thanks againl (MORE)
IDk but my stereo wont play in my 08 Dodge 2500 diesel Cummins either is it a fuse??
the flashers in the 1995 - 2500 ram van are located behind the glove box - have to remove inside of glove box to see them.
On a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 how do you hook up the trailer wiring to the fuse box so you can charge trailer batteries while you drive?
The wiring should already be hooked up, just go into the fuse box under the hood, remove the red plastic block in the front inner corner space and install a Jcase 40 fuse in it's place.

If it blinks fast either one of the two lights are burned out or the relay is failing
You may need a new flasher relay, there pretty cheap to repace, its usally in the fuse box, a round colerd thing, usally yellow or silver metal that plugs in. There a little bigger then a soda bottle cap.. Sometimes even one blow out bulb can keep it from working so make sure all your bulbs are goo…d. (MORE)
Well first your gonna need the RCA wire adapters that connects to the back of your stock CD players harness. And another harness for your speakers which also should have a the thin blue wire in the bundle. This blue wire is your remote wire, this gives the signal to the amp to turn on when you turn …your vehicle on. Once all harnesses are hooked up correctly make sure you have a ground for the Amp itself. Most cars you just cant ground it anywhere alot of the metal is powder coated paint and isn't the best conducter of electricity. I usually use the seat belt bolts with a 3 1/4 inch ring. (MORE)
the turn, hazard, park lambs are controled from the power modual on driver side fender well under the hood. it has a control modual attached to it. the power modual or fuse box has relays in it which power all the out side lights. these power moduals have printed circuits which are bad to fail causing… the control modual fail also. usually you end up replacing the power modual and the control modual to fix the problem. There are actually 2 bulbs in each tail light. Most likely, one of these bulbs is burned out which causes the blinker to blink much faster. Unless you look very carefully, you can't even tell that one is burned out since the other is probably still working.
The rear ti light lense is held in by two screws. Lower tailgate, remove screws, grab and pull taillight rearward.
it has a solid front axle, therefore it has u joints, not cv joints found on independent front suspension(ifs) of GMs. CV joints are gonna be awful hard to install on a solid front end...
yes you can i have an amp and subs in my 2006 dodge 2500 HD
I think you mean pdc. That is the power distribution center. The underhood fuse box.

There are 2 horns, a high tone and a low tone, they are located inside/behind the front bumper.
Im not going to get into a gooseneck because you should already know how to do that. Now though A semi Trailer I will. 1. Staight tractor with trailer EVENLY 2. Get out of tractor a remove any hazard in path (take key out) 3. Return to tracor begin backing prcess 4. DONT hit the trailer lightly tap… it. STOP 5. Exit tractor take key connect serive blue, emergency red, and electrical green. Make sure king pin is dead center with fifth wheel might sound sill make sure king pin is tight not wigling around. 6. Return to tractor press red knob in supplies trailer brakes air. After thats complete pull red knob out exhaust trailer air trailer brakes now locked. 7. SLOWLy back tractor into trailer the trailer will rise a few inches calm your little ass down its fine. the fifth wheel has a locking jaw that when properly working will lock between the head (bottom of fifth wheel and shank (top of fifth wheel. 8. Exit tractor take key service your work there should be NO daylight between the top of the fifth wheel and trailer. Oh yeah and if so grease fifth wheel. Push locking lever over locking jaw. 9. Go under trailer look at the locking jaw is the trailer on the outside of it if so you f'd up. Make sure jaw is completely shut between head and shank if it is great. 10. Just do a check of the trailer make sure its fine. Return to cab press red knob in release trailer brakes press press yellow knob in release tractor brakes. What ever you do after that not my problem. (MORE)
2003 Dodge 2500 lost the left trailer turn used to work fine all other lights on truck and trailer are working fuses good Pulling rght trailer fuse cuts out flasher sound and lft does not Ideas?
Same problem. but on 2003 3500. the left turn signal relay is integral of the fuse block. referred to as PCM. When tapped with mechanical force the relay operates. Must replace fuse block mechanism. So, looks like it's going to be a an expensive fix.
Make sure the tank is empty. It's difficult otherwise. And no, siphoning isn't possible, there's a restrictor in the filler neck. Disconnect the fuel filler neck and vent line. Unlike the GMCs, there's no inner plastic thing, so it'll just slide out of the tank as you remove it. Support the tank …with a jack and a block of wood. There are three J-bolts, two along the back and one on the passenger side... you'll need a deep socket for them, and five bucks says you snap two of them. Slowly lower the tank, they give you a good amount of slack in all the lines so you don't need to go inch-by-inch..... The electrical connector is kind of a pain, you need to remove that little red key and press on some spot to disconnect it. Disconnect the two smaller hoses at the T-connector. The pump is held on by a large plastic ring. Take a large flat screwdriver and and hammer to work it out. Align the new one and install it. Working the tank back up is a chore if there's any gas in it. I used a bunch of bricks to help hold up each side a little more at a time. Make sure you get the filler and vent necks back where they belong. If you broke the J-bolts, buy new carriage bolts and heat them up with a torch to bend them to about the same shape. Took me about two afternoons of off-and-on work, including the new bolts, on my '96 Ram Van 2500. (MORE)
Your blinker lights and back up lights are not working on your 96 Chevy tohoe they worked fine until we hooked a trailer to tow and after they don't?
Chances are very good that you have a bad ground wire on your trailer or on the connector. Check the connector for rust or rot, clean the pins and use some grease to prevent future problems. If the problem isn't at the connector, you may have a bad ground on the trailer which could be anything from …an ungrounded light socket to a bad ground wire. Hope this helps (MORE)
The light is out or dying. CHange your lightbulb so you don't get a ticket! Always keep a spare.
This is an indication you have a bulb burnt out on the side the blinker is blinking real fast.
My first gues would be that you've used a bulb with the wrong wattage. There are some dual-filament bulbs that can be inserted the wrong way.
On a gas engine you have to remove the fuel tank and, the pump from the tank. The filter is ust a screen on the bottom of the pump, Dodge doesn't have a service interval for the gas engine. On the diesel engine you unscrew the filter housing on the driver side of the engine
This means the truck is a 3/4 ton pickup (a heavier duty truck), whereas, the 1500 is a lighter - 1/2 ton pickup.
This is a easy fix go to your auto parts store and ask them for a heavy duty turn signal
You need a wiring diagram & a test light before you can proceed. Then test the switch first. There is a hot wire to each side. See if current going thru ea. wire when you flip indicator right or left.
Check the Dodge Cummins Diesel Forums for in depth discussion on how to do this yourself. If your truck has a 2 piece Drive-line, it seems the 2 piece Drive-lines are pressed together and require special tools to remove and also a press to put back together. While the drive-line is apart, you simply… unbolt the old carrier bearing and replace with a new one. I have a ram 3500 w/ 2 piece drive-line and am about to try this myself, but am also looking into solving this issue permanently by purchasing a 1 Piece aluminum drive-line. the 1 piece will also eliminate any shudder you get with a current 2 piece assembly. It really depends on the motor... If it is a regular gas powered then Valvoline 10w-40... if it a diesel then it needs a special diesel blend... Rotella is a good one

Usually one of two things happen when the resistance of a blinker circuit changes (as would be caused by, say, a bulb burning out or a short in the circuit): either it doesn't blink at all, or it blinks really fast. So the first thing I'd check would be to make sure that the bulb is lighting the wa…y it's supposed to. (MORE)
