In other words, add fluid(while parked on a level surface)until it begins to run out. I have a 99 Tahoe a…nd the manual doesn't list any quantity/capacity for the differential, only how to check the level and refill if needed.\nMike (MORE)

Answer . Master cylinder, located on firewall, driver's side, mounted to the brake booster. A very large circular object about 10" in diameter.
Answer . I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe as well. Like many cars, the automatic transmission fluid is poured directly into the same tube the transmission dipstick is located. The transmission dipstick has a red locking grip with the words 'TRANS/LOCK ->' imprinted on the handle. Do not confuse with the… engine oil dipstick which has a yellow grab ring.. The transmission dipstick has two ranges - one for cold transmission fluid levels, the other for hot transmission fluid levels. Please refer to page 6-25 of your user manual for specifics about this. Suffice it to say, the manual suggests only adding transmission fluid after checking the hot transmission fluid level where it is found to be low. The cold transmission fluid range is for reference only and is not trustworthy.. If adding transmission fluid, be sure to use fluid labeled as Dexron III - any other type may cause permanent damage to the transmission. (MORE)
distance requires all components . \nOne compressor you will see the lines split then the high and low goes along the bottom of the vehicle where you will see disconnects near the rear right bumper. Answer . If it is a four door and you are talking about the doors gentley grab a hold of the grille and pull from the rear forward. after you have the grille off get a small screwfriver and pull the center of each of the four black tabs out then pull the whole tab out after all four are out the …speaker will come out. It is a 6.5" speaker be carefull though because it is a shallow mount speaker. If you are talking about the rear roof speakers they are 4x10 and you push gentle from the rear forward on the grille cover till the black tabs are free then pull down and back and the covers are off. Then take the four screws out then the speakers come out. (MORE)
Now I am working on this from the standpoint of my 1996, I assume they are the same. I could be incorrect:. Look at the wiper arm from the bottom, you will see a small tab, if you pull the wiper away from the window, and then pull the tab to the bottom, you will lock the wiper away from the glass. …if you bull the tab all the way out you will then be able to pull the wiper arm off from the pivot point. The hose is attached to the wiper arm by a clip, you can simply unclip it if this is a temporary thing, for long term removal, I am not sure as I have never had the desire. (MORE)

Re-install plastic plugs and you are done. (MORE)
If the 2003 model is similar to eariler models, the washer fluid comes from the reservoir under the hood and is the same supply for the front washers. Hard to believe but a small hose runs all the the way from the front of the vehicle to the rear window on my 96 Tahoe.
Answer . \nFirstly, check your owners manual for the exact location of the windshield washer container. Add the recommened type of wahser.
I have a 1996 model, but I'm sure they're the same. The power steering fluid (as if you are peering into the hood) is on the right side of the engine, and closer towards the front of the engine. There's only two obvious places to pour fluid into on this side of the engine, and this one is the lower …of the two places. One of them is the engine oil, which should say "Engine Oil Only", and the second is your power steering, which SHOULD SAY, "Power Steering Fluid". (MORE)
I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe, and it's capacity in the manual says 30 gallons (approx.), and 42 gallons(approx.) for a wagon model. My non-wagon model Tahoe actually gets about 33 gallons into it when I fill up.
Typically you fill to just below the fill hole, I usually use a smaller Allen wrench to check it. if it is to about the middle of the short end I just leave it. This is usually pretty close to two quarts.

I just repaired mine with JB Weld.. How I did it?. 1st take the lift gate window off and put it on a flat surface.. Next use a high speed drill with a wire wheel to take off all of the old epoxy from the area immediately around where the hinge connects to the window and the hinge itself.. You wi…ll see 6 filled in holes in the hinge....use a drill to drill out the old epoxy. This will give more surface area for the JB Weld to adhere to.. Mix the JB Weld (Original JB Weld...not JB Quick) and apply a coat to the window and to the hinge.. Set the hinge into the area where it broke from.. Use some nylon thread to strengthen the JB Weld...by running 4 inch piece across the JB Weld.. Let the JB Weld set for 24 hours atleast!. Put the lift gate back on your vehicle.. I did this about a week ago....so far so good! Much better than spending a $1000 to replace it!!!!. If you have questions email me at email@example.com and I will do my best to help. It looks like quite a few of us are having this problem. (MORE)

\n. \n1996 through 1999 Chevrolet Tahoes normally have 6 1/2" speakers for the rear.\n. \nedit: Forgot to say, these are shallow mount speakers! So if you are replacing them, do not get woofers or larger-cone speakers as they will not fit.
The air conditioning Freon capacity for your 1999 Chevrolet Tahoeis five pounds. The manufacturer recommends that you never overfillthe air conditioning Freon.
The brake fluid reservoir is located on the left side of the engine firewall. It is basically right in front of the driver. It is attached to the master cylinder which is a large black round object with a small white container (reservoir) attached to it. If you still can't find it I suggest you go t…o Autozone and have them show you. (MORE)
The coolant capacity for the 2002 Chevy Tahoe is approximately 16quarts. The coolant can be purchased at any auto parts store.
The 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe is approved for modern DEXRON VI ATF.However if your instrument cluster has 4WD button-controls for thetransfer case the transfer case will require GM's Auto-Trak IIfluid, part #88900402.
This procedure works for 2007-2013 Tahoes/Suburbans/Yukons: To remove the rear wiper assembly open the plastic cover to expose the 13mm nut securing the arm to the spindle. Disconnect the washer hose from the grommet protruding from the liftgate. Using even pressure, apply outward force behind the… attachment point of the washer arm to the spindle. I used a 17mm crescent wrench and tapped on the top and bottom. Then I pried gently at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and it finally started to move. I repeated that with a steady force until the arm detached from the spindle. If you have a puller you can also use that but a crescent wrench works just fine for the shadetree mechanics among us. I assume you have the more popular of the 2 engine options the 5.7L 350 CU gasoline engine. The vehicle is said to be capable of towing 5,000lbs on a standard hitch, and 10,000 on a weight distributing hitch system.
With the seat folded flat, standing at the back of the vehicle, pull on the large u-shaped handle that it pointing toward the rear. The whole seat should dislodge.
I just called my local GM dealer and he said the capacity is 2.6 qts. That is for a RWD 2000 Silverado with the 5.3
Same place you check the fluid level. If you do not have a dipstick then you have a sealed for life transmission. On automatic transmissions that do not have a dipstick to check the fluid level or add fluid, a fill plug is usually located on the left side or right side of the transmission. On some, …there may also be a drain plug on the bottom of the transmission. To check the fluid level, the transmission must be warm and the vehicle must be parked on a level surface or raised on a lift. Jacking up the front wheels will tilt the vehicle and give an inaccurate indication of the fluid level. Therefore, all FOUR wheels must be raised off the ground and the vehicle must be properly supported by four jack stands. NEVER crawl under a vehicle unless it is safely supported by jack stands. When the fill plug is removed, some fluid should dribble out of the hole if the fluid is at the proper level (flush with the bottom of the fill plug hole). If no fluid comes out, add fluid to bring it up to the level of the hole. (MORE)
That would be what they call the cluster. You need to call your local GM dealer with your vin #. It may be one of the units recalled. Mine was.
when under the truck looking at the transfer case there is a plug that a 3/8 rive ratchet will fit in to, take it out then you will have to get an evacuator to pull the fluid old fluid out, u will need an air compressor also, if u dont have this equipent, thn your best bet is to go to an oil lube sho…p and have them do it its not very expensive. I own a 2003 Tahoe 2wd v8 without the tow package and I towed about 13,000 dry weight between my tandem axle trailer and a 1972 truck on it and it pulled just fine. Although I would recommend installing heavy duty shocks cause my hitch was only 6" off the ground fully loaded and that's with the '72 …on the trailer backwards. (MORE)
You will have to take off the big silver pan that is on the bottom of the transmission to drain the fluid and service the trans. filter.
When I changed the fluid in mine it took 3 quarts to fill it up. Also if you have a posi-trac rear end you will need to put in a Posi additive. You can get it at Oreillys or AutoZone. If you don't put in the additive the rear end will make a clunking sound when turning.
Try looking on your owners manual for said vehicle or go to a Chevy Dealer.
Component system 6 1/2"woofer and 1" tweeter in doors, and 4x10" 2-way speakers in rear roof. This is on a two door model. 4 door models will have 6 3/4" in the rear doors.
It's around 6 or 6.1, however check your owners manual some 5.3's have a different sized oil pan. Use 5-30 and use good oil!
I own a 1997 Tahoe LT 4X4, and that towing capacity is rated for 6500 lbs. However, mine has the optional tow package.

yes.. To my knowledge the rear wheel bearings are lubricated with the differential gear lube as you drive.
heres what I found, you can go to the auto parts store and buy a repaire manual for any car for around 20 dollars and it will tell you everything from top to bottom. not bad for 20 dollars when one expert wanted 30 dollars for on answer.

No. It only has one compressor and it is bolted to the front side of the engine.
Ok here is what you do. You fly up to the sun then die. When your body turns to dust it scatters around and then you catch it all in the differential fluid section of a Chevy Tahoe.
If you are driving in 4 wheel drive, put them on the front tires. If you are driving in 2wd or don't have 4 wheel drive, put them on the back.
IF YOU have never done it, Then do it now Fluid and filter. Then change it every 20,000 miles there after.
It is written on the transmission dip stick what type of fluid is used in that automatic transmission.
