Answer . \nspeed sensor is on the transmission use a 1 inch wrench and it is the rear one closest to the rear bumper the switch is plastic and cost about 20 from the dealer is car staying in second gear and speedometer not working? this is what happens when speed sensor is bad should take about …10 minutes to change including time to jack up front end (MORE)
It depends on what model of car. There is a different proceedure for front wheel drive compared to rear wheel drive and a different proceedure for front and rear bearings.
It is located in the transmission. Go to a Library and read about it, or to a parts store and buy a book. the sensors are on your left side of the transmission and can be changed in a few minutes. you need a one inch socket to remove them. They are not too tight and when you replace them, do not ov…er tighten them. change both sensors at the same time, they are about 50 bucks for both. just lift one side up then crawl under the car on your back. use stands or additional support for your jack. crawl from the driver's side of the car. mrhouston. If you have 4wd the bearing is pressed onto to hub and can't be change. The unit is sold as a whole as a bearing hub. The cheapest I have found it was $171 at autozone. same is true for the 1500 2wd, only AutoZone doesn't have it listed! I had to get mine from the dealer. However, the dealer gave m…e a 8-lug hub instead of a 5-lug, but it had the same bearing. (MORE)
I found this while looking for info on a Grand Prix. It should help you. http://shbox.com/1/how_tos.html When buying a new window motor, buy it with the regulator. Trust me, the extra money is worth it in the long run. It's such a pain if you change the motor on the regulator. But if you cannot… afford the whole assembly, make sure you drill a whole threw the fixed regulator arm, and geared regulator arm, and run a bolt or a pin threw the holes to keep the two arms aligned. This trick will save your fingers from the spring, and save you a lot of time and effort. But again, save yourself a lot more time and trouble, just buy the motor/regulator assembly. (MORE)
I have a 2001. On mine there is a plastic trim piece above the door panel directly inside from the mirror. You should be able to pull it off with your fingers it just snaps into place. You have to unscrew theplastic bracket that the trim piece snaps into. Then you should be able to access the screws… that hold your mirror on. (MORE)
When replacing the automatic transmission on your 01 Dodge Intrepid rt v-6 How do you remove the axle shafts There is no flange to unbolt so how do you get them to slide out Thanks Mark?
Answer . \nI think you will find that they are on a shaft much like the drive shafts on older 4x4's. You'll need to drop the ball joints, remove drive shaft nut on wheel end and pull wheel towards you which should allow you to remove cv joint. You might need to tap the joint where you removed the… nut to loosen joint as they sometimes stick. Once you have done that then all you should need to do is pull on the axel and when you have it it should leave a stub. Again you might need to tap it with a hammer to loosen it up so it'll pull out. Who is at fault if two vehicles side swipe one another when the vehicle on the right side has crossed the centre lane but is stopped?
Answer . The person who crossed the line (whether stopped or not) is at fault. The other vehicle may not have had a chance to switch lanes in time and cannot be expected to pay for damages when they were just driving in their own lane. Either way, the police determine the fault since they are th…ere to investigate and we, here at faqfarm, are not. (MORE)
If it is a 2.7L engine, then the thermostat is on the bottom side of the engine where the radiator hose flange is. It is a pain to do.
After the radiator was replaced on a 2001 Intrepid there is a slow transmission leak somewhere by the left side to center of the radiator What can be the cause?
either the transmission oil line to radiater is not tightene or the oil cooler tank at bottom of radiator has a leak
1986 BMW has loud knocking sound in front end right side when idling goes away when stepping on gas just had the throwout bearing replaced?
I had the same thing in my 1985 325e and it was the cruise control. Since I never used the cruise control I just cut through the entire wire bundle and problem solved.

Both spee sensors are located under the car on the drivers side and right behind the tranny dip stick (looking from drivers side). How do you know you if you need too replace right tie rod or rack and pinion bolt on 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES?

Want to replace V6 with V8 in a 01 dodge 1500 pu what in all do you have to replace Radiator ECM trans rear-end etc?
if ur in an emission control state that truck is OBD on board diagnostic an will not pass inspection if u make the change if not u will need ecm motor mounts. tranny rear end radiator will depend on how big a v8 u go with
First take off the caliper . Take off the rotor . Back off the rear drum brake adjuster . Take the dust cap off of the hub . Remove the cotter pin and retaining nut,and the hub assembly will slide off.
1. Remove lining which covers the bulb section. 2. Press tabs in (usually 2 ) to release the bulb holder. 3. Push in and twist to remove the appropriate bulb, (remember there are 3 different ones, brake ,night, and stop).
Best way is to take it to the dealership or a machine shop. If you want to get it started jack the truck up using alll the saftey mesures (jack stands, chock the wheels, etc.). 1. Disconnect the emergency break cable, there's a pin with a cotter pin that holds it to the e-brake lever on the backing… plate. 2. Disconnect the brake line from the back of the wheel cylinder. Be sure to use a brake line tool or a pair of vice grips to GENTLY pinch the rubber brake line hose so it won't leak. 3. There are 4 bolts from the axle houseing to the backing plate that hold the axle in, remove these 4 botls. After this the axle should pull out. That's the easy part. Now to get the bearing out and replaced everything needs to be pressed apart and back together which requires a special tube to use with the press. There is a retainer, reluctor ring, snap ring, retainer, bearing, seal (in that order) which all need to be purchased. Purchase them from a toyota dealer as I have done this before and the outer seal from 3 different auto parts store cross referenced the number but would not fit. Once you get it pressed back together it would be a good idea to buy a new inner seal and axle housing O-ring. They are cheap and if you have it apart already might as well put new ones in. 1. Install new inner seal and O-ring 2. Slide axle back in houseing 3. Tighten the 4 bolts through the houseing and backing plate 4. Connect the brake line into the wheel cylinder 5. Connect the emergency brake cable 6. Bleed the brakes (MORE)
unplug wires and us a star bit to loosen screws once you do that just pull up on it and it will come out.
"Babbit bearings" is a term that was used long ago before engines had fully pressurized lubrication. If an older person heard what sounded like a rod bearing noise in your car that may explain the confusion.
The left and right side of the vehicle is determined as if you are sitting in it facing forward. Left is the driver side and right is the passenger side.
the right side of the car is ALWAYS the right side as viewed from the back, in the US it's the passenger side, in UK it's the driver side
The Dodge/Chrysler Intrepid has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See sources and related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where… the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through. (MORE)

Not seeing which switches you are talking about.....whether factory or something installed aftermarket....I'd have to say that one is for the rear window defrost and the other is for an option for the stereo. Bass boost or something to that effect.
Gee, which engine do you have? a 3.3L the alternator is on the top, and totally easy to get to. a 3.5 is lower and harder to get to... What are you talking about? The 3.5L is very easy to get to--Its near the top as well.
not very clear on which part of mirror, glass only or motor or whole mirror, is the mirror a power mirror or manual? most are going to be similar to replace entire assy , you will have to take off the inside door panel to access the 2 bolts holding mirror onto door and rewire controls to arm rest. .… to replace glass mirror only, tilt mirror so you can grab the mirror and pull and tilt mirror till it pops off of . be careful to replace line up motor adjusters and center snap , push gently till all adjusters and center pops back into place . to replace mirror and motor see above to remove glass mirror, then unscrew 3 screws holding the motor in place , either take of door panel off or splice new motor wires, (easier than taking off door panel) replace screws and glass ,done (MORE)
Sounds like your heater core is leaking. Does the fluid look/smell like antifreeze? if so, time for a new heater core.
1. Remove the wheel 2. remove the caliper and slide off rotor (3/8 Allen wrench) 3. remove the 36mm axle nut 4. remove the abs wire 5. remove the bolts for the hub Assembly 6. put the new one on
on the door directly behind the mirror there is a plastic cover, carefully pry this off as it is held in with clips. once this is off, you will see some foam you just simply pull the foam out it is only a small pice. after the foam has been removed you will see three ten milimeter nuts. remove these… and BECAREFUL not to drop them into the door. once these nuts are off you will be able to remove the mirror after unpluging the power control harness. install is reverse of removal (MORE)
It's really no more difficult than removing the retaining screws from the inside of the door and taking off the escutcheon plate. After you take that off, there's another retaining nut that comes off and you can just take the mirror out then. The only difference between manual and electric mirrors i…s that there's an electrical connector you can disconnect. It's very easy. (MORE)
You mean right hand drive vehicle. The answer is yes - Jeep even offers RHD models of their products, with the intent that they be used by rural mail carriers. However, you may be first required to affix additional mirrors before that vehicle can be registered and inspected in the US.
The most common switch mounted there is the switch for the rear defrost. It could also have been a switch to power a factory supplied amp for the stereo. Most likely it is the first.
slowly. Im unable to find this out either. Ive heard the shaft simply pulls out of the carrier via snap ring but nothing and i do mean nothing verifies this on the internet.
It sounds like the problem is a broken blend door. Before replacing the thermostat or any other component of the Windstar's HVAC system, be sure to check your blend door for functionality FIRST. The most common issue with heat or A/C in the late model Ford windstar is a broken blend door. A broken b…lend door actuator is almost as common as a broken blend door itself. Typically, the fix requires disassembling the entire dash and replacing the whole plenum box, which can be a costly repair. (MORE)

\n. If I'm reading this right you want to know if any damage is done if the engine coolant is low. It depends how low is low. A few ounces, no problem. A few quarts or more could result in the engine overheating which could lead to some very expensive repairs.
The reason why the vehicles silencer is on right side is because most of the people are right-handed. A vehicles silencer is a device that reduces the amount of noise that is emitted by the exhaust.
What could make a vehicle pull to the right after replacing upper ball joints idler-arm pitman arm tie rod ends rotors inside and outside wheel bearings alignment and new tires plus?
After replacing all those parts I can think of three criticalthings it could be: 1st was the car aligned properly? 2nd one of the tires does not have enough air in it or A tire maybe faulty. To check change the left and right tires around and seeif the problem moves so the car pulls the other way.… 3rd A stuck or sticky brake. (MORE)
